In short

I study econometrics and want to build my career on the capital markets side. I am currently interning at Acar Menkul Değerler, where I follow market data through the Optimus trading software, the Matriks terminal and the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), and learn clearing, custody and operations processes first hand.

Before that I spent six years in our family company on the pre-accounting and sales side, learning current accounts, invoicing and income-expense tracking from the work itself rather than from a textbook. I also built an application that analyses that company’s financial data.

    • Followed order routing and trade tracking flows in the Optimus trading software to see how a brokerage’s operations actually run.
    • Tracked clearing, custody and reconciliation processes to learn how post-trade operations work.
    • Used the Matriks terminal daily to follow share prices, trading volumes and market depth.
    • Watched Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) filings and assessed how company announcements moved prices and trading volume.
    • Supported the organisation and reporting of market and client data in Microsoft Excel.

    • Coordinated sales and delivery day to day, and contributed to shipment planning.
